These terms and conditions are deemed to have been carefully read, accepted and understood by the customer in the form of a charterer or through a booking agent. When paying for the vessel rental, the customer undertakes to comply with the following terms and conditions.

Ship charter and payment terms

The ship rental includes, in addition to the ship, fuel, crew and insurance. The ship rental is always charged from home port and back to home port unless otherwise agreed. If the arrangement is not completed according to the time stated in the booking confirmation (as a result of the customer's or guests' actions), excess time will be charged according to the applicable hourly rate per started hour, the same applies to extension of assignment time or waiting time.

Booking and billing are valid between two specified times and cannot be moved or postponed without additional billing, example; booked charter 4 hours. Start 12:00 end 16:00. The party is delayed and does not start until 13:00, the boat is back in home port 17:00. This delay results in 1 hour extra billing despite the usage time being 4 hours.

Payment terms as stated on page 1 of this agreement.

If the ship rental is not paid within the specified time, the shipping company reserves the right to cancel the booking.

Where applicable, an advance payment for vessel hire, estimated catering costs, extra personnel costs, etc. may be paid by the charterer, which will be settled by settlement after the charter has ended.

Travel & route

Boarding takes place at the regular port indicated in the booking confirmation for each vessel, unless otherwise agreed. If disembarkation is to take place at a location other than the home port, the Master must give his approval if it is possible depending on traffic, wind, jetty and draft, etc.

food & drink

All catering on board is provided by the shipping company. It is not permitted to bring and consume your own food and drink as the ships have a catering and restaurant permit. Food and drink orders must be placed no later than 14 days before the date of the event. Changes to the number of plates can be made no later than 10 days before the date of the event.

Cancellation

The customer has a two-week right of withdrawal in accordance with the Act on Distance Contracts and Contracts Outside Business Premises. (SFS 2005:59). When invoking the right of withdrawal, the customer must inform Strand Rederi in writing via email within 14 days.

Cancellation up to 90 days before the booked trip with a deduction of 25% of the ship rental.
Cancellations between 61 to 89 days before the trip will be charged 50% of the vessel rental.
Cancellations between 0 to 60 days before the trip will be charged 100% of the vessel rental.
If the ship rent has been paid to the shipping company, settlement will take place upon refund.

The shipping company has the right to demand the entire ship rental and other costs in the booking confirmation in arrears if the charter is not carried out due to non-payment of ship rental or other reason caused by the customer.

If cancellation of a meal is made later than 10 days before the event, the full previously agreed cost of the meal will be charged.


Safety

The master has the right to cancel the charter in whole or in part with immediate effect, to disembark persons who are considered to be a danger to themselves, fellow passengers, crew or otherwise endanger the safety and public order on board. No compensation or refund will be made or may be required in the event of forced action as above. The master has the right to deviate from the planned route with reference to safety, weather, wind, ice conditions or maritime traffic regulations according to applicable laws and regulations, without any claim for compensation from the customer in the form of a charterer or booking agent.


Damage

In the event of damage, extraordinary cleaning, purging and repair of toilets due to unauthorized waste or incorrect use, the customer is liable for compensation.
This applies even if the perpetrator cannot be identified.

Please note that the use of confetti is not permitted on board.

Force majeure

In the event of war, government regulation, strike, blockade, lockout or other work impediment, fire, shipwreck, accident or other circumstance beyond the control of the shipping company, the shipping company has the right to cancel or otherwise reschedule the booked trip without liability for compensation.

Refunds are made with half the ship rental, in the event of any time interruption during the trip if more than 50% of the booked rental time is lost due to machine failure, breakdown, or other mechanical reasons.

No claim for compensation can be made against the shipping company or master if a replacement boat is deployed.  

Other interruptions beyond the control of the master or shipping company such as accidents, weather and ice problems, Force Majeure or acts and omissions of the charterer or the charterer's guests are covered. do not of repayment obligation

Covid-19

To prevent the spread of infection and to comply with the rules of the public health authority, the customer and guests undertake to carefully follow the crew's rules regarding hygiene and social distancing. The crew has the right to evict a person or cancel the trip without liability for compensation if these rules are not followed.

Other

  • Guests participate in activities during the charter at their own risk.
  • There may never be more guests (people) boarding than specified for each ship, and the ship will not leave the berth if the number of passengers is exceeded.
  • All price information is stated excluding VAT unless otherwise stated in the payment terms on page 1.
  • The shipping company and the master have the full right to cancel a booked charter and vessel right up until the imminent departure, in the event of, for example, an accident, weather problems, illness, etc.
  • Any disputes will be settled in the Swedish court at Stockholm District Court.
