Our vision
Strand Rederi has a unique beginning that began in the Stockholm archipelago after Erik and Einar, who had met during a captain's training, continued to stay in touch while Einar worked as an entrepreneur and Erik as a Skipper in the sightseeing industry. Erik noticed that there was much that could be improved for a better customer experience in the industry, and together they had a vision of a shipping company with more luxurious sightseeing during the day and a combination of nightlife, restaurant and partying in the evening.
They shared their vision with Niclas, an experienced entrepreneur in the sightseeing world, and together they began building Strand Rederi. Their goal was to offer a premium sightseeing product inspired by their travels in southern Europe, where they saw the high-quality sightseeing on offer and felt that a similar premium experience was missing in Sweden.

Our boats
Erik and Einar traveled to Amsterdam and bought their first boat, the M/S Marken, which they sailed home to Sweden across the North Sea. Despite challenges along the way, which extended their planned one-week trip to three months, they didn't give up and arrived in the Stockholm archipelago and started sightseeing the very next day with Niclas.
With the increasing popularity and demand for their unique concept, they expanded the fleet with M/S Ambiance, a larger and more elegant boat that can accommodate up to 150 people compared to Marken's capacity of 40. Finally, M/S Strandpilen, a faster and more modern boat, was also welcomed into the shipping company.
